IT People, I need your help! I have a Netcomm NB6 Router with a heap of port forwarding that I can't afford to lose but nobody can remember the password to the admin page. Any suggestions with getting in without a hard reset?

Did you do a backup of settings?

If not, good luck, they're usually a mini Unix software based so I don't like your chances.

Usually its just Username: admin
Password: admin

Old man spec.

The reason I was logging in was to make backups.

The problem is we took over this contract and the last IT Company have given us nothing to work with. We tried the passwords we knew from staff but none of them worked.

Have tried all of the usual admin/admin user/password etc.. No joy.

I have almost given up on getting in, now have wireshark sniffing around the router pumping out ports and will hard reset it tomorrow and just re-create all port fowarding etc.

Obviously we will be putting in a proper firewall and not using this mummy and daddy grade shit but for the minute it is what we have to work with.
