Default Legalities of nitrous.

I now have an XR8 with a built 5.4 litre motor.
It has a 150 wet shot of nitrous with the bottle in the tray.
Just wondering if it is legal at all to have any of the nitrous components in the car.
I have heard that its ok so long as its not hooked up.

Unless the rules have changed, it's OK as long as the bottle isn't hooked up. But the last time I had nitrous was back in the late 90's so I can't be 100% sure.

I think its still the same. My brother has his XU6 done this way and the cops havent given him hassles when he has been pulled over.
