Morning y'all...

As it seems Apple is dominating the smart phone world and scoring epic sales worldwide, I just thought we could start a 'recommended app' thread, for things you find genuinely fun, handy, etc etc.

This is NOT a thread for discussion related to 'this phone is better than that phone' etc, or a pissing war between the networks, but moreso one that iPhone users can engage with each other, and have a (hopefully constant-ish) array of new apps to download/try.

Ill kick off.

This morning I got iAssociate 2, a challenging game of association. It will test you.
Doodle Jump - if you havent got it yet, get it.
Dominoes App - enough said.
Shazam - For finding out what songs are called, by who, what album etc.
RMaker pro - An easy ringtone maker.
Convert Units - Awesome little convertor program.
For the car, I have Dynolicious, G Tac, iAlign.

Feel free to add. As I said, games, entertainment, useful apps, etc.

Consume - tells me how much ive spent/how much data left etc for my phone bill and my internet bill
PS Express - photoshop for your phone, works suprisingly well for when you need to change exposure and other small things in pics before you send them or use them as wallpapers etc

Endomondo - Free GPS app to track various activities eg walk / run / cycle

GPS:
oMaps - Free offline map program similar to google maps. I downloaded a map for Kuta / Legian / Denpasar off a wifi access point in Legian in like 3-5 minutes - it was about 11 MB. Handy so you dont get reamed by telco data charges.

High Noon: a free western shooting / dueling game for your iPhone that you play online. Very addictive.

VLC Media Player: a free version of the PC media player for your iPhone/iPad. It allows you to view media files without having to convert them to an iOS compatible format. It's great (esp for the iPad). The only drawback is that it uses more battery than the playback of properly encoded files - a pitfall of software decoding (vs. hardware decoding).
