Default iphone internet usage query?

My contract for my current phone is up soon and was thinking of joining the iphone clan. My main concern is internet usage charges.

The plan I am looking at allows for 1.5gb of download/month.

So for those that have one and use their iphone for websites, gps etc... I was wondering how much usage in terms of MB/gb you use per month? and How long would you use this function per day?

Thanks for your input.

1.5G on an iPhone plan is more than enough imho. Most of your big downloads if you are that way inclined can be done through the WLAN.

Facebook updates etc etc and small apps, GPS are fuck all.

If you are considering tethering a laptop with your iPhone fairly often, then 1.5G may not be enough depending what you do online however.

I just got an 32 GB iphone 4 with crazy johns/vodafone on the $80 per month plan ($0 up front, $800 credit + 2GB of data per month)

Havn't received my first bill yet but as for internet usage I would use my old iphone 3G almost every day for an average of about 20 mins to check emails, forums and a little youtube. Don't think I ever exceeded 250MB in a month so i think it would be pretty hard to go over 2gb.

As long as your not streaming audio or video 24/7 you'll have massive left over allowance with 1.5 Gb.

Excellent looks like I will be upgrading my phone. Hopefully it will work with my bluetooth module that is connected to my alpine deck. lol

The plan I am looking at is $5/month/24mths = $120 on a $49 plan with $350 credit + 1.5gb of data. So not too bad for $54/mth.

1.5gb is a lot, i doubt you will go through it, unless you stream heaps of p0rn. I use my iphone everday (emails, web browsing, remote desktop, ssh, etc) and i barely hit 500mb a month.

Anyone know which, if not all, mobile carriers in Aus support free data to 0.facebook.com?

iPhone obviously has the Facebook App - I am curious to know if this references Facebook as 0.facebook.com thus being free to select functionalities on FB?
