Default Purchasing new daily advice needed-fiesta/mazda2/i20

hello,

Planning to get a brand new daily (smallish car), currently i have narrowed it down to (ford fiesta/mazda 2/ hyundai i20) . Yes i am aware this is Perth wrx and the 3 cars i have listed are non subaru, but i thought some people would have one of these cars as a daily or company run about car.

So my questions are which one would you choose as they are all similar in starting price/ engine capacity and so on?

also is there anyone on this forum that works for the above 3 dealerships/ if so shoot me a private message..then maybe i could speak to you directly.

thanks in advance for any advice and tips given.

kevin.

I was looking at a 2-3 yr old liberty for the mrs but binned the idea for something like a new i20, 5 stat safety, 5 year warranty good looking car, can't go wrong and they are a well built car now, hear nothing but good things..

I'd also test drive the new Holden Barina and the Honda Jazz as they're in the same price bracket as those cars you listed.

Fiesta's are a great little car, my sister has one. Plenty of poke.

Mazda and Hyundai are too feminine, Fiesta FTW! (Especially with racing stripes)

you didn't mention Honda Jazz would you consider that in the mix ? the magic seats on these cars are awesome. But it has to be a 1.5 and manual, auto is just gutless. I have one and it been a great car.

My mum has a mazda 2 which i spend quite a bit of time driving...good car, plenty of poke, aux input + 6 stacker mp3 capable cd, aircon is really good, power everything, the auto is ok to drive....no issues at all (currently around 80000km).

Can't comment on the others from an experience standpoint but i think the fiesta looks the goods!

Don't buy a Holden Barina, biggest POS out. Had nothing but problems with them at my old work.

I almost feel dirty saying it, but the i30 if you can fit it in the budget would be the best. Had one as a hire car in Victoria and for 1300km over 2 weeks it was falutless. Its not a bullet to drive, but plenty of torque and the economy from the diesel is phenomenal - the epitome of a good DD IMO.
