Default Doggie door in Glass?

Hey Folks,

Having just got our hands on our new dog - a Blue Staffy - we are looking for someone who is able to install a doggie door in a sliding glass door.

I'm told its pretty quick and easy, but I don't know anyone who can do it... But i'm sure someone on here can do it , or knows someone that can

Happy for it to be a cashie, or booked job - just want it done sooner rather than later.

Pm me please.

This is Coco:

Depending what area try Just Glass or Direct Glass. They will need to measure a new piece of glass with a hole in it to fit the plastic dog door into.

Goodluck!

Doubt they'll be able to use the original glass as it shatters like an old windscreen, may need complete replacement.

We had ours done about 10 years ago, can't remember the name name of the place but they actually replaced the whole glass section with one with a hole cut into it and flap ( which is now busted so just a hole will do ).
I can remember if they use a different glass or the therory was that you had the original glass left incase you sold the house etc.

Don't do it! A staffy will break the glass for sure.

Spend the coin & get a security sliding door installed with stainless steel mesh & have the door installed in that. Extra benefit of being able to close the glass door to keep the dog outside if you need to.

my uncle in law had one fitted where the door glass doesn't actually need to cut, its an extra panel which fixes in and has the dog door opening built in, the existing glass sliding door then closes up to this extra panel, works really well & can be removed later down the line
