Default Glass glue

Has anyone come across a good glass glue ?

I want to glue something plastic or metal to the inside of the
windscreen and don't care if it NEVER comes off. I am also aware that
automotive glass is different from your average sheet of glass at a house.

The main problem I believe will be heat. Lots of glues etc will break
down and give up on hot days. This is not an option.

As far as the weight etc goes, think of a camera on a suction cup
and instead of using the suction using glue instead to hold the plastic
direct to the glass... no thats not exactly what its for, but gives you an idea.

I am hoping one of you clever dicks has come across something that
will hold that sort of weight, is compatible with auto glass and NOT
crap itself on a hot day.

Tried Araldite a few years before, and it was OK, but alas on a hot day
got sticky and dropped it (that sounds really sus )

I know there are some products out there for this, but I really want
some feedback from someone who has used something and KNOWS
that it does not crap it with heat.

Cheers.

Loctite do one for mounting the rearveiw mirror base to the glass for Falcoons....Ask Crowbar.... It's about $10 from covs, Auto pro etc

P.s Clear silicone works wonders when bonding to glass too.

Ian, I have used some Dynagrip rear view mirror adhesive that works quite well. It's probably similar to the glue Rossco is referring to.

I've had success with Loctite 406 (using glue on the radar detectors suction cup to the windscreen) otherwise there is that rear view mirror adhesive Rossco mentioned.

Clear silicone works best, it remains flexable so it expands with the glass & can be completely removed with a razor blade & prepsol.

All the others set hard and eventually crack off the glass through thermal stress & forget removing any residue.
