Best of luck, hope the whole process isn't too stressful or expensive.
My top tip is to make sure any communication to your lawyer goes through you, your lawyer doesn't accept any paper work or do any work without your approval first. Seems some lawyers like to set up a dialogue between themselves to they can charge their clients for each piece of communication etc. |

Try to do without a lawyer for as long as you possibly can....only deal with his lawyer personally and send a different letter to them every day asking a different question, (discovery of earnings etc) you'd be amazed at how quickly he'll get pissed off at paying some greedy cock $350 every day to answer your inane questions, it helped a mate of mine to settle in a reasonable way after her bill started to mount up and he was just out a little personal time.
Last shark I used sent me a bill for over 100k, I had to get another lawyer to reduce the bill massively............bunch of cunts!!!! |

Even just looking on a lawyers website can give you some insight in to the whole process. I canned my missus after a rough couple of years and it was looking like getting messy but i got some advice from Family Lawyers Perth | Perth Solicitors | Divorce Settlement | Leach Legal which was really helpfull
