Your boss will be getting pressure from her boss and so on... I just go above their head and make a formal complaint about their poor attitude.. lol

Just get on all fours and crawl around saying "You do not have enough badges to capture me". They will respect you so much more after that, you will be the one that got away kinda.

Did you sign a contract or anything when you first starting working there?
If so, do you happen to have a copy of it?

Personally I would be contacting one of the groups that provids protection to employees and asking them the question of whether or not the boss/team leader/2IC has the right to demand an employee to stay back to perform unpaid duties.

Call fair work Australia, you are not financially responsible for those mistakes and unpaid work is illegal. This is assuming your a wage employee not salary?

If you can a few co workers to back up what you have said she will not have a very merry Christmas at all and you will probably end up with some form of back pay.

Make a diary of all instances where you where/are from here on forced to work unpaid overtime. Insist everyone else does the same

If you like/enjoy the job stay on. If you don't, ride it out till you find something else.

Work gets hectic certain times during the year so if its just a cyclical thing let it slide, if its continuous then maybe you need to consider other alternatives.

'You'll have to pay for it yourself if you stuff it up again'

Standard supervisor/boss line to make people think more about what they are doing. I've said it in the past a few times myself.

A standard employer/employee contract can't enforce anyone to work any overtime or repay if something is damaged/wrong. However an employer will remember who helps and who doesn't.

If you are working so fast to cause problems, slow down and make sure your stuff is correct. If there are complaints that you have slowed down, refer them to their threats of unpaid overtime etc and that you will ensure everything is correct as you can't afford that.

Finally, kick the boss in the cunt.

I think in her own weird way she is trying to motivate us but if i'm not the one making a mistake i don't want to pay for it and yes if she complains that i've slowed down i'll remind her why then she can't say shit.

Thanks for all the advice guys i'll be getting in touch with fair work australia and if she threatens again i'll throw the book in her face (not literally) and i will be looking for a new job next year

Could a mod please lock/delete this thread so said boss does not find it by some chance
