What are the chances of another insurance thread....

Some advice is becareful when insuring it under your parents name. Can get very messy with rego etc etc and ALWAYS disclose all mods / fines.

Just Cars are good but charge huge excesses, esp when u've racked up a page or two of traffic fines!

Seriously though, you must have known insurance was going to hurt when you bought the car!

3K isnt too bad, i paid that in my first year of wrx ownership and when i was 19 i paid 4.8K insurance i think on a modded skyline (when 33's werent everywhere!). Thankfully i didnt own it long so i got most of the money back..

End of the day, if you cant afford FULL comp. insurance, you cant afford the car.

I have a 94 WRX covered by RAC at $2k a year, with some mods listed.

20yrs old not one traffic infringment and a 30% no claim bonus

but the agreed value is only $10 800 i dont know how it's "agreed" cause i certainly dont agree with that!

I had a 96 R33 skyline that had an agreed value of 19k ann some mods when i was 19 and was only $1600 a year!!!

i know tell me about it, just car's quote was even worse, shannons wont touch it and so on. i thought not having any driving convictions and a good rep with the company already shown by the NCB would be in my favour? they wont even enter into any discussion about it

That's crazy! I got quoted $1800 for a WRX with lots of modifications (And I mean lots). I'm 21 and I have had an at fault accident AND lost my license due to demerit points.

Shop around mate! You're getting ripped off blind
