Check out the thread on insurance.

Just Car quoted me $2800 with $800 excess.
MY06 sti stock, agreed value 60k, 6 speeding fines - 5 points. No accidents. 19yo.

Allianz, QBE, GIO and all those that deal with insurance brokers refused to even quote.
RAC and HBF are also worth trying. HBF saw turbo and ran away.

That's pretty good. I thought for a 19 year old, it'd be a lot more.

Show us some pics.

Agreed lol. They didnt ask any questions about history etc which seemed a bit wierd. One of the others (cant recall which) wanted something like $4200. Do ur homework.

I think I might shed some tears when I trade it in this Tuesday. The scooby served me well. I recalled when I first bought her, I went for a test drive. Straight after the test drive I purchased her on the spot !

Spent lots of good times in it... The cruises especially.

Anyway I'm keen in welcoming the new ride. Would like to learn more about the Evo, how it works etc. I feel that theres really no point in arguing which is better. Afterall we are all buying cars that we like to drive and not what others would like to see us in.

In my opinion I feel that both are great cars. Yes they compete in some ways but at the end of the day its really about which flaws you can live with. Competition is great in terms of allowing both manufacturers to strive and constantly improve their products.

For me there are things that I love and hate about the scooby and its the same for the Evo. I would love to drive both in my life time and understand where Subaru and Mitsubishi are heading and see how they progress from there.

I'll still be giving the scoobys a honk/wave whenever I see them. Sad to see it go.
