Hi Marc. Horrible time for all no doubt. It certainly is best to get everything squared away legally as it saves you from even more pain down the road. A form 11 is correct as well as some other supporting docs and you are right when you say there should be two lawyers, one will draw it up and the other will advise whether its fair etc. it then all needs to be submitted to court and provided the judge deems it fair it ends there. And trust me sometimes judges don't deem it fair and tell you to try again. For this reason I would strongly recommend that you at least seek proper legal advice before going ahead with trying to do docs yourself. Any lawyer worth their salt should be able to tell you up front what drawing up consent orders will cost. It should not be anywhere near 10k!! My mother is a family law specialist based in perth.
