Why would you have your fog lights on?

^This... Perth gets zip to fuck all fog.. no excuse to have them on. Blinds other drivers & is just as bad as the fuckwits with incorrect HID installation. If you have them on you're a dope & should be fined on principle.

Purely In my situation I never used them, so installed fog light covers.

Are you fucking serious? Do you even understand the concept of fog lights? They don't shine up into people's eyes as they are designed to shoot the road under the fog...

Your foglights need adjusting if they are blinding people.

Incorrect installation of HIDs will shine like hell into your eyes... Foglights, not so much.

I understand completely the concept of fog lights mate.. Clearly you need to understand the reason why its not ok & why its the law. Are you trying to defend those that drive them on with no fog present or something?

Why the fuck do you think people are being fined with them on all the time then?? It's dangerous for oncoming vehicles to drive with them on when there is no presence of fog period. More light sources in the direction of oncoming traffic at night have been proven countless times to cause strain to the oncoming drivers.

In my personal circumstance & rant against incorrectly fitted HID's & fog lights, goes with reason also. I have keratoconus in my left eye & very sensitive to bright lights when driving at night. HID's incorrectly projected and multiple light sources becomes a problem and at times blinding.

So regardless in the direction they are pointing in, they shouldn't be on unless fog is actually present.

So you don't like the led running lights either? As those are often brighter than fog lights are.

Agree with this.

2 head lights is all you need. No fog lights. No high beams. No fancy fuck off HID LED ABC 123 lights, they're all wank.

If you cant see the road with just 2 head lights in metro area, your headlights are fucked or your eyes are fucked. Fix one of them.

If they come standard, your arguement is invalid... Can not fine you for having fog lights on if they ate a standard item.

Road safety | Western Australia Police

Vehicle fog lights - Section 183 of the Road Traffic Code

Be considerate of other drivers and only use fog lights in fog or adverse weather. TURN OFF fog lights in fine weather.

There is a $100 fine and 1 demerit point for inappropriate use of fog lights.

That's like saying it's ok to drive around honking your horn all the time "because it comes as a standard item on the car".

Foglights are a safety device for use in particular weather conditions, same as windscreen wipers. The only time that foglights could be argued for in clear conditions is when one headlight is out to prevent someone thinking you're a motorcycle.
