Default Tough Mudder, etc training

Anyone care to share their training tips for tough mudder and other equivalent activities?

Started somewhat a crossfit routine and wanted to get ideas of other exercises/combo out there

Find the biggest kids playground you can ( I'm sure you already know where it is pervert ) and practice monkey bars and pulling yourself up stuff.

Grip strength / endurance is a must for a few of the harder obstacles.
Master D and magic1 like this.

TBH i didnt think the obstacles were that hard at all.

I did no special training other than my standard 4-5 days at gym. No cardio running or the like.

As Burke has said try and increase your core upper body strength like chin ups, dips etc this will help alot for pulling yourself over obstacles.

Mudder was alright but i hate running and there were large gaps between obstacles ~4km..

If you want to do heaps of obstacles theres one called true grit 30 obstacles in 10km. Supposed to be more hard core.
