electronics guru, suspension logging.
Hey, chasing someone with alot of electronics experience, mostly in the design field. I want to make a suspension logging system specifically for mountain bikes much like what the motor sports have. except i want to replace thel linear potentiometers with something less fragile.
Also does anyone have experience in logging suspension activity and could direct me too some software that i can use and design my system around?

Could strap a Wii remote to the forks and data log off the accelerometers. Google is your friend here. Run the data through a spreadsheet to interpret displacement.

Thanks, hadnt thought to google any of this yet... i need an electronics guru to help me design what ever is needed to convert the signals from the potentiometer to data that i can read using some sort of software i am yet to find (edit: looking for something more substantial than a spread sheet as i want to be able to pair the data to a gps route, otherwise how am i ment to know where everything is happening). It gets too a point where its easier to talk to a human being than search google.

Could you use something like a temperature logger, as the shock converts the energy of up down to heat. Maybe cheaper, and is definatley robust.
