Honda Civic 1.8L

Not exactly small but definitely cheap to run, decent power, well balaced chassis, all electrics and fine appointments, and most importantly.....safety

Comes with indash 6 stacker and all that jazz... so it was a very cool little car. Not to mention the 575kms I'd get out of every tank!
We've got a carbon grey 06 Mazda 2 "Genki" (wife wanted the flashy looking one), but it comes loaded with all the safety stuff and some nicer interior fabrics.

I see a lot of people praising the Swift for being 'cute', and that's not something I can argue with. I think it's a good looking car. For driving and the features it just loses out, big time. The safety pack and six stacker options in the '2' are above and beyond the Suzuki offering and I'd still be willing that head to head the '2' would run circles around the Swift.

Through building my house i had to do the downgrade from the wrx to a brand new astra 1.8L, and everytime i get in it i wish i hadnt sold the wrx. The Astra itself is a cool little car, p/w front and rear, cruise control, 7 speaker stereo, got the body kit and 18" mags but no little fuel miser will ever compare the almighty rex!

Swift is good, Ford Fiesta is pretty good fun (relatively for a small car) to drive as well - test drove just the weekend gone

Get a Yaris or a Jazz.
both a treat to drive, comfy and quite spacious inside!

Did you watch the video? The Jazz is a pile of poo to drive in 1.3 litre form.

I'm sure the 1.5 is better, but its expensive.

I work in pre delivery for Ford. focus isnt a bad lil run around. and i agree that the XR5 is way over priced.

i wouldnt go with the fiesta. they are too small. focus is a small car but not as bad as fiesta. I prefer 4 doors.

were u looking at buying brand new or second hand ?
