Anything slightly sporting is going to be 3 doors snarlz. 4 door small cars are strictly family hacks.

i work at john hughes. If ur wanting a cheap small car with awesome fuel economy then u cant go past a hyundai. Atm u can get a 5 door get for the same price as a 3 door. 13990 rrp for getz 1.4l man. 15990 rrp for getz 1.6l which comes with abs aswell.
The new accent 3doors are pretty good looking aswell bit more power than the getz and about 7l per 100kms but ur not after a 3 door. if ur willing to stretch ur budget to 20990 rrp u can get the elantra.
They also just got a bunch of buy backs for elantra and accents so u could prob pick up a 05 model for about 15-16k but i dont work in used department so i woudlnt be able to say.

test drove the swifty
awwwww so cute
got some power too
didnt seem to struggle to bad on freeway or onramps etc
reved it to about 5500rpm and it ran nice

also drove mazda 2, didnt like it at all. felt too high, lil boatie. fiesta was crap, barina was crap, yaris well i just cant get past the dash in the middle.....

will drive a few more hhehe but swift is in front
