Default Rewiring surround sound system

As the title states I'm after someone with the know how on rewiring a home surround sound system, hopefully with a reasonable price and being able to supply the speaker wire yourself.

If not does anyone have any suggestions as to where would be the best place to purchase said wire? May give it a shot myself

The unit in question is this: Archived HT-DDW7500 : Home Theatre Component Systems : Home Theatre Systems : Sony Australia

Cheers

I got my wire from West Coast Hi Fi in Morley. They have/had wire from cheap to professional qualiity that you can buy by the meter.

JB HiFi also has wire. Speaker Cable

Can I clarify something here. Fatter/larger diameter speaker wire doesn't always equal better sound.

Unless the amp output is reasonably large and consistent then a fatter cable helps in lowering resistance making it easier for an amp to generate output without overheating. However, we are talking about a professional situation more than a home one.

Larger diameter speaker cabling introduces capacitance which causes high frequency roll off. That in a home situation is more likely to be apparent.

No worries

So bigger isn't always better? Haha

I think the system pumps out 1625 or 1695 watts, some shit but I realise that's it's max output and it's far below that, the wire it came with is pretty skinny red and black coloured as standard so looking at something similar, I usually have the bass on standard and it's not really up loud as there are some large widows near the system and it rattles it as is
