They say they will give u $3000 min trade (just to get you i the door) and then make excuses why they can't do it with your car (roadworthy or not) Happened to my girlfriend about 10 years ago and her trade in car was half decent too! I doubt if things have changed, maybe if you are chasing a car that has a high mark-up they will do it but if ur a smart buyer I bet you will be picking a car that is a well priced and does not have a huge margin.
