nope..... 140km, if a pursuit or whatehaveyou gets higher than that the book dictates they abandon the chase

not only that but drivers have to be of certian level and trained to be able to drive at 140km/h

does this also apply to NSW police? surely it would be different over there..

The cops in the east have wicked cars.
I was in sydney last week, cops in unmarked Boss 260's and heaps of the cop cars in the photos above. I was like sweeeeeet!!! |

Back in the good ol' days b4 all these strict guidelines came in, I would often see the needle go past the 200 mark (just barely!) when chasing baddies.
And yes, I did have the training

I reckon right now, most cops would still get way above 140km/h to around the 200km/h mark, however in those POS dunnydoors/quintrex's they are made to drive they would be flirting with death
