1962 S Series Valiant got it when I was 16 & had it painted heavy Metal Flake blue, put it on a train back to Perth & TNT lost it for 3 weeks, not long after they found it I got a job in Port Hedland so drove it up there & kept it for a further 6 months & sold it for $400 to an alcoholic workmate who proceeded to write it off 3 days later

Got my licence when i was 15yrs-then proceeded to buy a mark II cortina, which then turned into a late 60's Hilman Hunter(classic brown). Ran out of money then....4 years later...got a 1997 VR4 turbo legnum (straight out of Japan) bit like a galant but nicer and smaller. Had that for 5 years. Moved here, got my Sti and now thinking about getting something else (older WRX early 90's) to build up and destroy at the track?

My very first car.....In 1992 I bought a 1983 Toyota Sprinter aust compliance with 4AC (single cam single carby go slow motor) then lobotomized it a couple of months later & put in a 4AGZE (twin cam supercharged from a Trueno). I lowered it, zorst, air filter etc, put 15"s (they were classed as huge wheels at the time - how things have changed!) Twas lots of fun! I sold it to someone I knew, they sold it on years down the track & I later found out it ended up with another rally mate of mine. He sold it to his bro whom kept it in mint condition as I had it.

I heard recently that he then sold it to one of his friends & it has apparently gone downhill now She had a good life though & had lots of admirers as that conversion was more of a rarity than it is nowadays. I sent in a 'chick into cars' letter to Fast Fours in the early 90's & that got printed with the pic of it which was pretty cool!

The rest as they say.........is history!

Series 2 RX7.

Fresh paint, interior, 13B mild port, rims, suspension, etc. Had big stereo also.

Ran 14.9 which was damn good for a P plater at the time (5 years ago).

Currently resides in the hands of its 3rd owner since I got it. First guy I sold it to sold it to another guy, who slapped a 12A turbo in it. Blew it up on the dyno, rebuilt it and has now sold it to its new owner about a week ago.

Now has 18" wheels on it, and pumps out 270 at the rear wheels with a smallish turbo, which is crazy for a 1000kg car!

Had an EA Falcon to drive around for a little while (for the first 6mnths i wasnt allowed to drive without an adult...) and then i borrowed some money off my mum and bought an immaculate baby blue (really light blue) XF Falcon. I bought it with a genuine 101,00kms on the clock... 20K kms later i bought a WRX and sold it to dad for $600 as i really needed the cash to pay for several traffic offenses i racked up over a period of 4 days.

Dad later traded it in for 4k (yeh, 4 thousand..) about 8mnths ago on hiw MY00 WRX...

Used huge amounts of fuel, handled crap and went slow but it was the best car i will ever own.

First car was a 95 Honda Civic, i didnt care much about cars at first, so i bought a fuel friendly car. Then started getting into imports and after a few weeks i bought a Nissan Onevia, had quite a few mods and was mainly setup for drift (not that i could). Been through one more owner since i sold. Still miss it!
