fuji finepix f30.

highly underrated p&s with fantastic low light shooting ability. up to ISO 3200 in a baby size. finepix f10/11 is good if you can find one second hand.

review of f30

Depends on budget, but theres 1 million options out there

For me

Nikon D70s with 70mm and 300mm lens's

My daily is a Kodak V530, really underated camera as it wasnt really well known.

If you want a brilliant all round camera, chase down a old Sony DSC 717 .. best camera I've ever owned , regret selling it really.

Hmm.. I'm heading os next month so I might get me one of those IXUS 60's. You boys are very happy with them by the sounds.

I also see you can get an underwater case good for 30mtrs.. thats cool.

man how much noise would you get with a P&S with an iso of 3200 but those sony ixus sound good and seeing some photos taken with them, I opted for a canon 350d and have a Olympus az1 P&S which is old but still takes some decent photos lol.

Who needs a digital SLR when an IXUS 65 can pull this off:
http://myspace-956.vo.llnwd.net/0150...02177956_l.jpg
Only mods to the pic is a curve and horizontal flip of half the shot.
From memory it was shot with a one second shutter speed & flash of course out on the street next to Adventure World.

The 65 & a 1GB San Disk Ultra II SD card cost me $550 from JB (so stoked that one is opening up on Leach Hwy ), though you can get the 60 which is the same thing but smaller screen for $100 cheaper.

The video part of the compact digital camera has got me hooked, and since owning the camera I've made like a dozen or so little movies from all sorts of weird and wonderful things I see.

I want an underwater housing too for the camera. Would have been good at the spa party last night :P

Canon 400D own! Had mine for about a month and have nothing but good stuff to say about it...A bit unsuitable for you tho!

Also own a sony dsc-w50 p&s camera... Its pretty good and has all the basic features you need.

Heard some good stuff about the ixus' too.

Check out ebay for memory cards - Absolutely dirt cheap! 2gig compact flash for $50 delivered

That sony dsc-t7 (i think?) that u posted a link to earlier are pretty good too. My brother has one, screens are huge and they take good pics too.
