Lightbulb Digi Cam

Depends on what you want to do with the camera dude. If you want something tiny, like pocket size, you will have to be happy with a small amount of zoom (usually 3x). if you are happy with something a little bigger you will get about 6x (there abouts). If you go bigger you will get 10x +.

Then there is the functionality side, like being able to adjust the shutter and apateur. Some cheaper cams will not let you do it.

I recommend you stick with something like a Canon or Nikon.

EG
Small Canon - IXUS 60
Large Canon - EOS 350D or Powershot S2IS

What do the rest of you guys think?

Oh yeah dont forget: http://www.dpreview.com/

Size isn't that important ( as long as im not lugging a brick around my neck) just after a well rounded camera

Bro's I want to buy the missus a nice wee camera which can be just left in her hand bag. At a party on sat night I saw this chick with a Sony digi and seriously it was about the size of a credit card, big screen and about 10mm thich and quite heavy (metal).
I think it may have been this, all I know is it was a Sony....
I'm new the digital camera world, just want to buy her something small which can be left in the hand bag, but will still do everything Joe Blogs needs, any help from the gurus appreciated!

360D is a full sized SLR digi cam... so its not really 'neck' friendly for a couple trip shots unless you're prepared to lug it around :P

Ive got a Sony Cybershot - and I think they are great. But canons make tiny little cams with nice big screens
