Ombudsman is not obliged to take on the case and even if it was taken seriously, the Ombudsman may only make recommendations rather than slam the hammer on the mofos.

However in most cases, it seems to work.

Well I have a story to share about making complaints about a certain cop. I was part of a lion dance troupe and a few years back about 5 of us were at the back of the ute driving around Northbridge. Got pulled over by a cop and issued a fine to everyone on the back, a bigger fine to the driver and passenger, and deducted demerit points from the driver. Our leader came and tried to step in to get the full story but was told to get lost and swore at by one of the cop. In the end we all got fed up and let the cop do his job. Later on the leader wrote a letter to the commisioner, a week later that certain cop is no longer patrolling the streets. and the last we heard was he got severly demoted or something...now THAT'S justice!

Got pulled over by a copper i Darwin bout 6 years ago for a blown brake light said righto there is a servo across the road i will just nip over there and replace the bulb was told no and that i would be receiving a $80 on the spot fine. Argued my point a bit further and was told "If You keep going son i will defect your car and youl have to walk home" If i was in the car by myself i would have kept going but had my wife and Daughter (who was 6 months of age at the time) in the car So i copped the fine hopped in my car drove across the road and replaced the globe. One of my best mates Father is the Superintendant of the Northern Territory Police Force Let him know what happened gave him the coppers name and the last i heard he had been transfered to a shitty little outstation in the middle of bush where he will be for a few more years yet.

Actually its illegal to carry passengers in the load space of a vehicle, has been for a while. Aside from the cop swearing he was doing his job properly. Also rexbois, I realise your still in school, but can you try constructing your sentences and using the right words? Not worth the effort - the police in WA are corrupt and you'll just end up having a lot more dealings with a lot more cops who are a lot more dodgy.

the cop ordered me to remove my undercar neons coz he rekons they are a distraction. any way i ran it over the pits. the licencing guys sed they are street legal, they comply with the law and all i had to do was fix one of the brakets that was about to break. after i'd dun that they removed the yellow.

I didnt act like a smart arse or anything, but after showing the officer my permit and the neon guidelines, he acted like a 'tough luck' type of attitude.
