I used to work for retravision, from wot i can remember th Palsonic LCD TVs had a wall mounting option, but u will find that majority require a seperate bracket.
A budget of $1000, may be difficult to find a 68cm tv for that price considering the cheapo 34cm tvs go for about $700. Remember u get wot u payed for, some of the cheapo companies can be a real pain in the arse when it comes to warranties and returns.
Most LCD and PLasma TVs are built from a single pannel of glass, sum cheapos are made from two pannels glued together, this can be a bitch when one half of your TV fails. That sed some of the cheapo brands aren't too bad as they are usually backed by larger companies.

If your gunna buy a bracket seperately, be careful. Especially with the higher end brands like Pioneer and Sony. If the TV falls and breaks whilst your are using a generic bracket, they use that against u. They claim 'u werent using an official bracket so that voids your waranty'

Havent heard anything bad about Centrex.

I think you should go to the store and see the T.V. in person and make the decision based and what you like. Some of the cheaper LCDs use the same panels as the more well known brands like L.G.
