^^^^^ Farkin chinese whispers... Say it enough times through enough hands and somehow it goes from speculation to fact. Nice detective work Matt.

Group B for the win.

I think Matt was inspired by a pic I posted online the other night... at least his drunken rant last night made mention of it before posting this

You want urban myths to this one on.

Michelle Mouton would pull into service after some of the tarmac stages and the service crew would have to clean the blood and severed fingers out of the car. This would occour from crazy spectators having competitions to see how close they could get to the cars and have fingers removed when they struck the small vent windows in the front side windows that are made from perspex.

and

current WRC and some old Group A actually eclipse the outright pace of the group B cars with current tyre, suspension etc technology despite being almost twice as heavy with half the horsepower.

i actually watched an interview with michelle mouton and she recounts a bloke coming up to the window to touch her as she was getting the 3 second count down, so to be perfectly honest, from the videos i have seen with how close the crowds get... thats perfectly plausible shane

and current WRC cars are probably faster because they dont have the traction issues :P
