ive been told by so called ford "experts" to throw my motec in the bin. much the same verso, ecutek biases and lack of clue in the ford camp. this however hasn't stopped me, so apart from upgrading my m800 to suit i will be teaming it up with an SDL dash and a SLM shifter.

fyi from motec

There is certainly a bit of work to do and you will need to upgrade your ECU to have the cam control and Drive by wire.

You will also need to run 2 X 3 channel igniters as the standard ECU has the igniters inside.

From memory I think there was a problem with the taco not working as this is on a CAN bus from the standard ECU but I am not 100% sure on that one.

Its true that for a street car fitting the M800 is not really the way to go when re flashing is much easier and cheaper. However if you would like to use any of the advanced features of the M800 such as 3D boost control, launch control, anti lag and of course the big one data logging then the M800 is definitely worth fitting.

If I can be of further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact me further

damn misquotes!

was in the context of the stereo, as to the performance side of things, we are only just beginning!

right now as we speak im emailing with peter swinney from motec to come up with the best possible cdi combination. options are cdi single channel x 6, two channel x 3, four channel x 2 or get another cdi8.....just awaiting his reply.

Had the absolute pleasure of hearing this stereo tonight.

Can say without a word of doubt this is simply the greatest stereo I've ever heard, and considering I spent quite a bit of time being an audio nerd during my uni years thats a big call to make.

Congrats to your installer for a fantastic job, and to you for picking the right parts Ramon.

Now get those parts on, and the irony of it will be that your daily shitter makes a mag before the good car
