dont think so, as kempy says im pretty certain you get a grace of 2 weeks to a month.

My cousin had his MR2 blow up on him, caught fire at a set of lights on canning highway and when he went to make a claim that night his license had expired by 12 days.

Needless to say he renewed it the next morning, but still got paid out.

Ill check the good book.........the good book says

Vehicle licence

the provisions do not apply to the use
of a vehicle within the period of 15 days immediately
succeeding the day of expiry of a vehicle licence for the
vehicle;

Renewal of drivers’ licences

(1a) An application for renewal under subsection (1)(b) shall be
made by the holder of the licence, in a form approved by the
Director General, within one month before or within 12 months
after the expiry of the licence.

(2) Where a driver’s licence is not renewed prior to its expiry but
within a period of 12 months thereafter, the renewal has the
effect of validating the licence for the balance of the period for
which the renewal would have had effect had it been effected
prior to the expiry only, but where the holder has, within
15 days after the expiry, given to the Director General notice of
his intention not to renew the licence and thereafter renews it
within 12 months after its expiry, the renewal has effect on and
from the day on which it is effected.

So you have 15 days grace on your vehicle licence and 15 days grace with your drivers licence to apply for your licence again.
