Anyone know approx how much it would cost to transport a car over on the train from the east?

circa 1.5k . to be more specific, have overall dimensions handy with weights etc and call TNT, FCL to name a couple. oh and the car has to be running in decent cond or u have to resort to cheaper alternatives that will fork it on and off yadda yadda

$1.5K sounds a bit much. Ive been quoted around $1K for transport via train with insurance. Although that was one year ago.

For 1.5k you could fly over, have a holiday and drive it back!

You can bring it over on a truck but it's open to the environment and the red dust is just about everywhere on and in the car through the vents etc. The train isn't any better, prices vary, ring around you might be able to get it down under a $1,000, try get a price from where it's being shipped as well as from Perth.
