A lot of iPod problems come down to the user.
Not updating the software and keeping a good charge.
Being a hard disk it doesn't like vibrations. You will find less problems with the Nano's
than the regular iPod's.
Most of the iPods that come back don't have a case on them.
Get a good case and look after it.
I have a 3g iPod, probably nearly 4 years old. Still works, I replaced the battery and now its charge lasts longer than when it was new.

2008ish

They will probably be locked to a network like they are in the U.S

They are locked to the worst network in the states, so that means Optus will probably win it out here

That is EXTREMELY bad.

I dont think apple has reached Six Sigma level yet (3.4 defects per million), but a 10% return rate would put them at a 3rd or 4th sigma level, which is sh*t for such a large company.

IT seems many of the folks who cleverly unlocked their iPhones are now the proud owners of iBricks.

Last week Apple released a software upgrade for the device which caught a lot of users unaware and turned their eye-catching product into a paperweight......
