Default Test fitting tyres

Hey guys, anybody know if you can get tyres test fitted? Looking at getting yokohama geolanders at-s in 205/70 R15. My stock tyre is 195/60 R15 on a bug-eye.

Any info would be sweet,

Cheers guys

Unlikely because you'd have to fit all 4 and test drive it, plenty of 2nd hand suppliers out there with that size, one in Forrestfield and another in Balcatta from memory but the standard WRX rim will drop straight in so compared to what you want.

Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/70-15 5.6in 13.1in 26.3in 82.6in 767 0.0%
215/45-17 3.8in 12.3in 24.6in 77.3in 819 -6.4%
Not a huge amount of difference but your speedo will be up to shit and the gearing won't be as good off road.

Better option if available would be

Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/65-15 5.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.1in 791 0.0%
215/45-17 3.8in 12.3in 24.6in 77.3in 819 -3.4%

Grab some wheels and tyres from an early Forester to test fit, rather than f*ck around stripping and refitting tyres.

Forester has a different offset to an Impreza.

One thing that I'm worried about is rubbing on the spring perch, even when I'm running 205/60 they are about 15mm from the perch, will offset help this? how can I find out the offset of the current rims?

The Foz rims stick out 5mm further than Impreza rims therefore giving you an extra 5 mm from the stem but the perch could be a problem, I had GT Foz rims on the blue WRX offroader with 205/60-16's and there was still a bit of room from memory......they never rubbed anywhere so use the tyre chart to compare, I think WRX is 53 offset and Foz is 48.
