Default Anyone used the Greddy E-manage Ultimate ecu?

Hi Everyone

since I cannot sell my GC8 MY00 , I will make it alittle faster and keep it

Im thinking of going for the Greddy Emanage Ultimate ecu. ( $1650 tuned) Any one had experience with one of these? will i need to replace AFM?

Current mod 3" zorst TBC + Pod filter.

will add aftermarket : turbo + intercooler in future.

another thing , with all these mods, how long before you engine needs a rebuild and what can be done to stop or slow down your engine from being rebuilt.

Cheers

J.

You won't need a rebuild anytime soon if you don't over do it.

Stop/slow down rebuild interval - Don't do it to start with

Back to the original question...has anyone actually used a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate on a GC8 of any vintage?

People I have spoken to have been kind of negative about this ECU, but is it the result of actually fitting what is a poor ECU or just brand loyalties? (You know Motec, Autronic...only good ecu on the market etc etc)

From what I read about this ECU, you should be able to delete the AFM...anyone??

I couldnt find much info on this computer just sites that distribute the Greddy and give their own review.

Also like 97RA i would like to know if you get rid of AFM all together.

PS prob give a few workshops a call.

you can run it without the AFM

like all ecus, how go it is comes down to the ability of a tuner whether he is familiar with it (ie the limits, etc)

^ no particular reason I was just looking around , and a workshop near my house/workplace does the Greddy ECU. I can then just walk to work while my car is getting tuned.

still looking around for other ECUs.

Considering the Apexi PFC is only a little bit extra, and plug and play, its certainly the way to go.

No patch looms, injector looms, mucking around etc. Asides from that, I've been told the software is user friendly, and this makes it easy to tune. But getting to that point is a whole heap of hassle.

Watched 2 of these units fail to work on a car too.
