Just bumping up an older thread.

I'm looking to get the GoPro HD Motorsports Hero.
1080p @ 30fps.
720p @ 30 or 60fps.

EDIT: aaaaand tha's all. After a few hours researching, it seems there's limited cards that work with GoPro HD hero! Luckily, searching forums has given me the best guide as to what to get, so this camera should be capturing some fantastic angles on the upcoming Colin cruise!

Well basically, I jumped on google and looked up a few forums regarding what was going to be a good card for the GoPro. From what I saw, many many people were having issues! It seemed that it didn't matter whether or not the card was a brand-name class 10 or a no-name class 2, results were random. Cards from some manufacturers that you would expect only the best from were simply not working at all; in other cases cheap ebay-spec ones with low transfer rates and the likes (ie Class 2) were "absolutely fine... ran it for over 3 hours @ 1080 non-stop".

After looking at some threads where people had the same questions as me "what is going to work best?" and where people ended up saying what had and hadn't worked for them, I found the same results coming up. There's really only two SD card manufacturers that are guaranteed to work (ie nobody has had ANY problems with them at all).
These are: Kingston and Patriot
GoPro recommend Kingston and Patriot themselves and say they have had no issues. Who cares if they're in collusion or whatever: those two work and others are hit and miss; buy at your own risk.

Bought a Kingston 8gb myself. No issues.

So ive got a HD Motorsport hero, was wondering for outside shots of the car is there a microphone attachment that you can put in the car from the camera?

It does suck anus a little bit, given the really average SQ of the in-built audio.
I would love an external audio feature at some time in the future, but given the camera's applications, it seems that sound is the trade-off for a small size and the HD capabilities. Whether they think that adding the ability to plug in a mic is a good (read: reasonable profit making) addition to the GoPro is anyone's guess.
