Ordered a Sigma 24-70mm EX DG Macro f2.8

After looking all all my photos exif data this lens will hardly ever come off the camera.

82mm filter size means not cheap filters Anyone tried KENKO filters? They are half the price of hoya (which i like) dont care for cokin...

edit: I found out that kenko filters is just a different brand name for hoya, so half price filters for everybody! :P

Well I took the plunge today and brought a 40D with the 17-85mm IS.

Now I just got to work out what settings I like best.

Good setup, once you understand how aperture works and how it effects shutter speed and depth of field (how much is in focus) then you will be on your way.

Well... I have sold my 40D and all my canon gear and am tempted to convert to the dark side.

Looking at the D7000 but have noticed that the lenses that Nikkor have are a bit more expensive than the Canon equivalent.

My other alternative is the 60D since it is on the same price scale as the D7000 but the 7D is more the equal.

Thoughts?

D7000 all the way bro.
I've said it before on these forums (search you noob), I think the D7000, for the price, is the best camera Nikon have made.

I do like the D7000 but everyone I know runs a Canon.

Can anyone tell me the equivalent lenses and prices for a Nikon for the following:

24-70mm L
24-105mm L
70-200mm L

I'm also looking at getting a D7000 + a 70-200mm 2.8G ED VRII lens to go with it. Just waiting for a nice cheque to clear first.

I use a D300s at work and I still want the D7000.
