ive been researching this week for a dslr with hd video. pretty much decided on Nikkon D7000 as its the best bang for your buck and more features over the newer D5000 (like magnesium body, lens motor, higher frame rate, better battery dual sd slots).
did youtube review some canons last night too like the 7d and 600d and it seems the nikon D7000 equals them both. previously having a nikon sways me to stay in the same camp.

All I can say is the video recording for the d7k is fcking shit, my 250 gopro does a better job.
The best video recording on a SLR I've seen is the Cannon 5D MK2, but its teh expensive

oh really? im used to the footage from my gopro and wanted something non-fisheye to go with it for freehand stuff. hmm maybe another look at the canon's is in order.
