had small issue with noise banding in sRAW mode and edges of Blown out highlights at night would have black dots next to them but has been fixed with the latest firmware, mine came with new firmware so no probs anymore

well at least 5 to 6 people with 5D i have never heard of those problems you mentioned so spose thats a good thing

The 5d Mirror falling out thing is more common then you think, a Guy on POTN forums just recieved an email from canon saying to send in to get checked, it seems Canon will be fixing this problem under warranty.
