Best place to buy a DSLR?
Hi all,
Going shopping for a DSLR tomorrow, was wondering if any of you that have purchased one recently: - Where from? - How much? (did you offer cash??) - What did you get for the $ ? (extra lenses/bag/tripod etc) I'm looking to spend around the $1K-1.5K thank-you for any assistance. Daren

I do know a guy selling a fairly new (only about 5weeks old) 450D with twin lens kit (18-55 + 55-200) full aussie warranty with extended warranty purchased.
Think he was asking $1190. Dunno how that stands in the market currently - or even if its still available, but if you're interested I'll get in touch with him.

After being fkd around by Camera House for the past 6 months cos not prepared to pay top dollar for something I can get cheaper at HN. I would recommend Stu. Good bloke and good prices!

leederville camera house for the body and cameradirect for the lenses...cheapest and quickest service, not gonna comment on Stu, if you have nothing good to say better not say anything at all

I'm in the market for 5D Mark 2 + 24-105L... will give Stu a go on price tomorrow and see how it goes but at what I've managed to find online, me thinks I'll be flying to Singapore next Friday night to do some haggling and come home with an extra $1000 in my pocket even after forking out $250 for ticket to Singapore.
We get seriously stiffed in Oz on pricing.
