Default Music editing

I have some songs that I want to do some simple editing to. Basically instead of having the entire song, I want to crop it so to speak so its shorter. Then save it as a separate wmv file or what ever it is.

Chasing a simple program.

Any ideas??

I use Audacity, it's free and is actually pretty good. Can fade out/in the bits you chop off and add other effects fairly easily. With a free codec you can export the file as an MP3 as well.

+1 for audacity. Goldwave is quite good too but requires a bit knowledge of music and waveforms.

Cheers boys and I don't do that anymore. I'm just another number like the rest of you now.
