Default Bullet HD Pro2 - Issues...

Quite simply, this camera is doing my fucking head in. Doesn't seem to matter where I position it inside the interior of my car it takes glare riddled shit footage of the outside and pretty much perfect footage of the interior of the car.

I started off with it mounted at the rear half of the front passenger window because I like the angles from there. I have slowly been moving it forward as I noticed that it works perfect in full light situations but as soon as the dark interior of my car is above the camera it fails miserably.

My last test was as far forward on the window as possible right under the top edge of the windscreen about 15-20cm below it. It works slightly better from this position but now I'm barely able to get the angle of my hands on the wheel etc which is what I am chasing.

I have downloaded the latest firmware for it which is supposed to help with white balance etc but it has made no difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have I simply bought the wrong camera for the application? Pity because they advertise it for motorsport use and supply reasonable attachments.

It's the amount of light that is available outside compared to the relative darkness of inside.

As you can't change the aperture to suit one or the other, the camera blows out the light area for detail in the dark area.

Answer, hope for a dark cloudy day.

I've just tried another position further along and lower on the window so the camera is past the line of the windscreen in full light. It seemed better just going to have to play with the angles as I want to capture what my hands are doing on the wheel etc. I've learned a lot about my driving from the three vids I have of my last sprint series event...

It's not ideal but I am stuck with it for now.

Frustrating because I have seen so much good footage from well back in the interior in other peoples cars but they are all gopro cameras. I was too stingey to spend that much on something that will only get used a handful of times a year, my bad.

Cheers.

Sold mine two weeks after purchase. It was useless as a camera, even more useless as a dildo.
