I'm thinking of getting a Ta05-VDF chassis....... Thoughts?

I'm wanting to go CS under/overdrive on it.

I've looked at other options like the clone Ota-R31 (Teh-r31) & the HPI pro-D (and the HY clone of it).

I think the Ta05-VDF would be a better option as I can go & race on road again if I desire & it will be much better quality (plus the only changes between drifting & road racing will be swapping out a front one-way & going back to 50/50 gearing) .



I used to race 1/12 on road years ago with a Team associated Rc12-LG & later an RC12-L3.

I'd appreciate your input.

If anyone is interested I was chatting to one of the guys up at Stanbridges today, as I had to get some more replacement parts (due to my crap rc controllage) and they have a get together Saturday morning out the back carpark of Stanbridges where they set up a rc drift track and run their cars. Power for your chargers is set up out back as well as a small fridge, and staff to help with any advice you might need. Nothing serious the guy said, just a fun morning.

They've a fair range of stock up there atm. Your basic xb pro ready to race cars, all you need to buy is charger n battery, from $199 - $340 stock engine and parts, but upgradable up to your brushless ones like the Ken Block Fiesta at $499. Far as time, think it was anytime after they open. I've got to go back up on Friday or Saturday anyways as they didn't have some parts I needed in stock so list up what you're looking for... or even... go to the Stanbridges website and have a looky for yourself

I picked myself up another one for 180, just a cheapo 1/10 scale tt-01 type E shaft driven 4wd chasis, with the idea that once I've learnt how to drift (instead of crash) will be changing it over to a brushless engine and make a few other mods n changes for a little extra power.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I have an Ofna OB4 with Nitro motor in it that I haven't used in years. Still has remotes, servos, chargers, a heap of spares, etc etc.

Happy to let it go for whatever is a fair price if it could be of use to anyone?
