Selling my WRX because I don't use it anymore due to commuting by bike, and I have too many vehicles.

1994 Subaru WRX
186,8XX kms

Replacement engine work done by Tony Flood, who is a Subaru expert.

Engine replaced at 181,149 kms (only 5000 kms ago) with a 77,000 km 97-98 Subaru Forester GT auto engine (have receipts). Being an auto and a Forester, this is the best type of second hand engine to get as they haven't usually been driven hard. Some improvements were also made to the engine between 94 - 97/98.
One ball joint done at the same time, new plugs, cam belt and fluids also done.
New Fidanza lightened flywheel and new clutch (done at the same time)
I replaced all 4 front CV boots roughly 10,000 kms ago
Air flow meter replaced <500kms ago
Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar
Pedders suspension
18" rims with near new tyres
DBM slotted brake discs.
Full Sti interior - seats, door trims, even gauges
short shifter
Sti intercooler
Sti wing, badges etc.
Exhaust (3" I think?)
Also has CD player and 2 amps, with 2 clarion 600W subs (not currently connected, but all the wires are run)
Licence plates "RED REX" (personally I hate these, but never got around to getting rid of them )
Front quarter panels and bonnet are aluminium (Sti?) panels.

The only mods to the engine itself (apart from STI intercooler, which is better than std) are that it is running 14psi boost (which is below what is considered safe for a stock engine) and potentially has a Unichip piggyback ECU (was told by the seller it has, there is a box in the passenger footwell, but no markings). The car drives really well and is very well balanced with front-rear grip. Handles much better than any other car I have driven.

Asking price is $10k negotiable.

Test drives at my discretion, expect to bring something of equal value plus photo ID (and I will be coming with).

It's all good. TBH I had a quick look for GC8s and couldn't find many for sale with low kms in good condition and didn't really know what price to put up so decided to start high, then lower the price until it sells

Having said that, I am open to offers because I need the car gone.


EDIT: after talking to a few other people and checking more prices, price drop to 10k negotiable.
