Ripped 1st and 2nd. 195kw atw. To be fair it was a limiter launch on warm R-specs though.
The only diffference between the normal wrx / sti box and the RA one is the shifter forks are forged and not cast. They are both 4.444 so you wont see any difference for cruising either. Only difference will be it is quieter in 1st / 2nd but also nowhere near as strong. Brendon

Ahh that is how i did my box the first time too. Limiter launch and 1st went. so ppg went in. but i have 4.444 box now, but want the RA 3-5 gear ratios.

Some of the RA boxes are short all the way through and some are short 1-4 then have a longer fifth. Dont ask for the designations because I have no idea.
Why not keep your box and buy the 3-4 helical for it? Best of all worlds then assuming it fits. I want to shake the hand of anyone that can blow up 5th. Brendon

I was thinking of doing that too, but getting a 2nd hand 3-5 gearset. I really dont like the 5th ratio in my box, it sits at about 3200ish rpm at 100 but it is just not high enough to feel good, so if i did i would do 3-5 gear, but a whole box would be easier to just swap over. what is a 3-5 ra ratio gear set worth

Box is out of the car NOW! so up for sale.
For those who are interested, i think the RA ratios are awesome! the engine is always, and i mean always on boost, at any time. very good mod if you like to drive your car. not good for cruising though but still, it's no cruiser.
