Garrett gt30r restrictor

What size oil feed restrictor is recommended on ej207 version 7 motors running ball bearing gt30r's? Im running one 1mm oil restrictor at the moment and was wondering if this is enough??

So far it has been very reliable (touch wood) on stock internals and 1.7 bar plus with gt3082r so i wanted to know if it can handle some mild cams and i wanted to here of people actually running cams...

Yup they are cheap but installing them gets expensive, dont you have to take the motor out and then the heads off to do the springs?? Thats why i was thinking if i can get away on stock valve springs...

The 99/00 heads are shim under bucket and the older ones are shim over so i guess thats the biggest difference, i dont know if they do have protruding edge or not on the bucket runners??

The cams im thinking of running are a lot smaller then yours :) is your wrx non sti with 7000rpm redline? The stock lift on jdm version 5 and 6 is 9.1mm so i was hoping id get away with 9.3mm lift...

Yup its a real spec c version 7 block. The spec c was in a crash and was written off so the short block came out of it and into my gc8 version 6 sti.

It was a td06 20g not the td06h 20g, as far as i know the td06H has a bigger turbine side compared to the td06......maybe yours is the H variant?? When i got to the dyno with the 20g my tuner told me...

Maybe the v3 ra has more duration?? The v5-6 sti's have 9.1mm lift factory.......i also got stuck on 240kw with a td06 and wouldnt go further until i put the gt30 on and now the car wont go much over...

Let me put it this way, i only drag race the car maybe max 20 passes in a year and the usual one gear boost on the streets so wont be trying to run that ten consistently all day everyday.

Yea with 1.7 bar it only made about 3-5wkw more lol (stock heads :() so we left it at 1.7 bar max and timing has been set to 21 degrees max :) less then what they run factory.

Let me rephrase that, if a ej207 can make 300wkw reliable then why do people run built motors for 300wkw? You dont even need a gt35r for that much power so more then 2000rpm of power band.
