G'day,

My Subaru garage has expanded from the one GC8 to two GC8s (one daily, another dedicated rally) and most recently a GG Bugeye WRX wagon (for the Mrs) as well. Regarding the bugeye wagon,...

It's all good.. I've convinced myself with enough threads here on Perth WRX and wrx.com.au that AUDM MY98 must have come with greys. Maybe other markets got the yellows in both the WRX and STI and...

Standard injectors in AUDM MY98 WRX

Hi all,

I realise that this info is all over the internet, but amongst the different domestic market trims as well as the noobs regurgitating incorrect info as fact, I'm struggling to find an...

Everything is fixed!

I had previously checked all of the connections but upon finding the bad ground on the MAF, I rechecked the two main connectors near the battery that join the inlet manifold...

Ok, so I've found that the MAF's ground is not so great. I've measured a consistent 0.8V on it which is thus telling the ECU that there's more air than there really is entering the engine because the...

My findings were similar (up to 1.4V being the highest) and I compared with data logs from my other 3 cars and they were all between 0.7V (70mm MAF) and 1.3V (little NA engine so has a tiny MAF) at...

Running RICH after turbo inlet pipe replacement

Ok. I finally got around to checking a couple of things today.

Measured at idle (825rpm)...
Voltage at the MAF:
1.96V

Voltage at ECU post Unichip:
1.85V

So the Unichip does indeed appear...

Yeah, am hoping to check out the MAF this weekend.

The gaskets were reused but were fine and showed no signs of leaking when I pressurised the manifold

I have considered this but the leak was very minor if it was indeed leaking. Also, it was lasted tuned in 2014. If the intake was melting that long ago, i'd have expected it to be worse by now - but...

My assumption is that I disturbed something in the process. But for the life of me, I can't find what! Hence me coming here to ask what is most commonly forgotten by amateurs when they pull off an EJ...

Yeah, sorry. It's a MY98 WRX. It does have yellow 440cc/480cc injectors in it which I gather are out of an STI so the Unichip would be pulling back the fuel. Has anybody EVER heard of a Unichip...

I have certainly been considering it. Sure, the intake temps won't be as low, but the lag should be less and then I could fit a factory airbox in the engine bay easily again. Hopefully less attention...

Running RICH after turbo inlet pipe replacement

G'day all,

This might be long-winded but bear with me.

Only had the car a short while and thought I'd replace the factory plastic turbo inlet pipe as it didn't look very healthy (had gone soft...
