they're made of steel not ally, as with most things you are paying for the r&d, not worth damaging your master cylinder if you get the bolts at the wrong angle imho, i could take a pic of my mrt one...

make sure you install with the head of the bolt...

make sure you install with the head of the bolt facing the master cylinder and tension it up or it won't be that effective :D

i put that bolt in backwards as per the instructions that came with mine, this way the bolt head spreads the load :)
