Default Factory ECU..?

Hey Guys

Probably a stupid question but having just 3 inch Cat back exhaust. Would boost spike be an issue or would the factory ECU be able to handle the change in exhaust flow..? Is a retune necessary..?

Cheers

You may get a small boost increase. doubtful a TBE alone will cause spikes unless its a really really cold night.

You don't have to get a retune. But it will make a world of difference to the performance of your car. And probably make for a safer tune so you don't have to worry about spikes or running lean.

Screw as much boost in as you can.

Don't play with the boost. Obviously you don't know what your doing and just going to do it on the cheap.

Altho that seems to the be the Euro/Asian way. Do it the Aussie way and get somebody that know's what they are doing!

Not playing with the boost, just the exhaust. It has been mentioned before abt boost spike in regards to just an exhaust change. This is why I asked the question!

I have got a full turbo back exhaust 3inch and it only mildly spikes nothing extreme but on a cold night the boost curve is really nice and just holds
