certainly does, it just doesnt use the factory sensor, any 0-5v input reflecting knock (knock-amp, knock-link, etc) can be used.

Power fc was excellent in Bruce(my old rex) available for 94-99wrx
My Dad's gtr also has a power fc which is tracked all the time Sean's 98 wrx made 430hp on a power fc with a z32 afm but did make more when he changed too M800 but at that power level he would of been closer to the flow limit of the afm?
As for autronic good unit better then power fc not as good as motec
