can you replace a stock ecu with a verso'd ecu?
say you have a car with X mods, can you get a verso tuned ecu from another same model car with the same mods and put it into your car? will this work?
sorry if its a newb question, just interested. |

Yes its possible, It would more than likely work, but even then I'd suggest a retune as not every car is the same even from factory OEM cars can sometimes have slight differences.

I switched ECUs, it was fine. And the keys have to be coded (like Fred said).

Huh?
So you want to buy/trade your ECU for another. Have your keys re-encoded. Pay for dyno time anyway. You'd end up saving a couple of bucks... Wow. Brings a whole new meaning to tightass.
