A bit off topic but I think its worth your while to consider Suzuki's GSXF250 Across.
I have one and are very pleased with it. Reliable as. 4 pot 250 so its not slow and maintains a sports style look. has very practical storage compartment too. you could pick one up for less then 3K.

Yeah, except that I really, really like the CBR250RR... Like lots.

Get an RGV250 or the aprilia rs250. 2 stroke ftw!

I had an import from Kawasaki in Midland that was fairly good but did cost a bit to get 100% ie new chain and sprocket, starter died in first 3 months etc. unfortunately I wrote it off. BUT I do have the wifes ZZR-250 for sale wich is a bargain considering it has done 3000km in 3 years so if you are interested let me know it's in perfect condition. otherwise CBR import will cost you 6500ish. don't listen to the bullshit about import vs aus spec as the parts are readily available the only problem is they are getting old and most of the odometers have been wound back.
