just wondering what the requirement for a helmet is for track work and skidpans?? is it AS1698??

yeah, im pretty sure it is. ive just done one of the v8 super-rides at ahg and my helmet was ok. if not sure though jump onto cams they could tell you pretty quick you'd figure.

What ever you do, make sure you buy a good helmet!!! Not a $69 cheapy.

I still can't figure it out how everyone spends thousands of $$$ on making their car go fast and then will only spend $2 on a helmet.

As a minimum you should look at a good motorbike helmet for around $200 or spend a bit more for a base model ERG open face motorsport helmet for $350(Cullys Race Equipment)

Note: One of the slowest cars in the 2007 Targa West ended up on its roof at the end of the motorplex drag strip ???? Dont say it will never happen.

i was goin to do the same thing ( buy a cheapy helmet) until my brother pointed out this interesting fact...

is your head only worth a cheapy helmet?..

i like my head the way it is and spent accordingly.
